Short course highlights/achievements:

1. First International win 🏆 - Melilla Euro Cup 2024
2. Commie Games 2022 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 - 5th in the team relay
3. Best World Cup result 🇪🇸 - 5th in Valencia 2023
4. First World Champs as an U23 🇨🇦 - 2021
5. First International medal 🇺🇦 - Dnipro Euro Cup 2021
6. Best Champs performance 🇫🇷 - 12th Vichy 2024
7. First GB vest 🇦🇹 - Kitzbuhel Euro Champs 2021
8. World ranking of 70 🌎 - end of 2024 season
9. 13:53 for 5km (I’m counting this as part of my short course career as I don’t plan on doing one anytime soon 😂)
10. Youth British Champs 2015 🥈 - first big result that made believe I could be half decent at triathlon.

If you told my 12 year old self (the guy who just came last in a local triathlon, threw up a whole bag of jelly babies and swam 8 minutes for the 400m) that I would represent Scotland at the Commie Games, achieve international medals and race for GB across the World, I would’ve struggled to believe you (even with my very optimistic mindset…).

Hoping for many more cool experiences and achievements in this new chapter of my triathlon career! 🫡

An exciting year of racing ahead!

The goal for this season is to expose myself to the very top level of long distance racing. I could easily shy away from it and pick easier races, but I want to learn and race against the best and understand the gaps in my performance for future years. I’ve never raced at the very top of short course (WTCS), so it’s cool to be able to chuck myself straight into the deep end of long course racing (hopefully a T100 opportunity in the near future as well 👀).

▫️ Ironman 70.3 Geelong 🇦🇺- 23rd March
▫️ Ironman 70.3 Venice-Jesolo 🇮🇹 - 4th May
▫️ Ironman 70.3 Aix-En-Provence 🇫🇷 - 18th May
▫️ Ironman 70.3 Euro Champs 🇸🇪 - 6th July
▫️ Triathlon Gerardmer XL 🇫🇷 - 6th Sep
▫️ Ironman 70.3 Emilia Romagna 🇮🇹 - 21st Sep
▫️ Ironman 70.3 World Champs 🇪🇸 - 9th Nov (TBC)
▫️ Ironman Western Australia 🇦🇺 - 7th Dec

Plans are always flexible and I’m open to adapting and changing what I’m doing as the race season progresses. However, it’s nice to be able to fully plan out what I want to do this year and races I’m looking to aim for!

Any long distance race recommendations please let me know!

SHORT COURSE ❌ LONG COURSE ✅

It’s time for something different. Making the decision to move to long course triathlon has been very difficult. I’m having to leave the dream I’ve always had of becoming an Olympian behind me and now focus on being a World Champion in a slightly different sport!

I’m excited for where this new journey will take me and I hope I can share my experience with as many of you as possible and maybe give you the inspiration to sign up for your first @ironmantri event.

I will be posting another video soon explaining in more detail why I’ve decided to make this transition from short course to long course!

Thanks to everyone who has been part of my triathlon journey so far, I’ve already met so many amazing people and created some unforgettable memories. We are only just getting started 🫡🫱🏻‍🫲🏼
