12 months ago I took a huge risk to change the direction of my triathlon career. I let go of the LA Olympics dream, got removed from my training group and started coaching myself.
I’ve loved the challenge of learning how to ride a TT bike, navigating public lane space, coaching myself through injury, staying motivated during solo sessions and creating a small but very supportive team around me.
To those of you who are unsure if taking a risk is worth it or you are scared to take a chance, just remember that sometimes you only get these opportunities once. Believe in yourself and don’t let anyone else make you think otherwise, as most of the time you are capable of more than you think 💪🏼
I’m very grateful for the position I now find myself in going into the new year, loving the sport and making the most of life.
Set some big goals for 2026 and don’t look back 🫱🏻🫲🏼🔥

The BMC team have created World Champions in the past through their amazing brand partners, hard work and dedication to finding those 1%’s! I can’t wait to start working with the team towards one of their big goals, taking the Ironman World Championship title in Kona 🌴 🌍
This level of support next year is going to allow me to grow and develop even more as an athlete, learn from other members of the team, upgrade equipment and work with doctors and sports scientists to maximise my performance in all areas of the sport!

Inter-county XC Champions 🥇 It was cool to be part of the winning team on Saturday, great running from all the lads! I had fun and glad to be finding some good form as the triathlon season closes in.

It was great to be back using the @morayleisurecentre facilities over the festive period whilst we were back home! Thanks to all the staff and management team for making us feel welcome as always.
It always brings back good memories of being a kid/teenager learning how to swim and using the gym.
Lots has changed with the Centre since then and it’s busier than ever now, it sounds like it has a bright future ahead!
First race of 2023 and first time in the Charnwood AC vest! Very tough conditions and course today, there was no break from the mud!
Nice to come away with 3rd senior (4th overall) at the Leicestershire & Rutland County Champs and secure my spot for the inter-counties team in a couple of months!
It’s been a fun and very challenging year, with lots of amazing memories! From racing in the Commie Games and starting a Masters at Loughborough Uni to one of my worst periods of injury.
Looking forward to 2023 and spending more great moments with friends and family 🍻
